King Hezekiah’s Life extended

In those days Hezekiah king of Judah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’ ”

Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and prayed to the Lord saying, “Remember now, Lord, I pray, how I walked before You in truth and with loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Then it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him saying, ” Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord, and I will add fifteen years…

And will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria;

I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My own servant David.” ‘ ” —-2Kings 20:1-

    I feel quite inspired by Hezekiah’s story. My only problem is that I need to work harder than I am now spiritually so that I will be able to ask God to check my record at such a point.Alleluah

    What happened during the last fifteen years of King Hezekiah’s life? How did he die?

      Nothing was mentioned on how King Hezekiah died in the Book of Kings and in Chronicles. “He rested with his fathers” was all that was said of him.

    God heard his prayer because he was faithful and honest to God. How i wish i have that kind of faith to save my Elder brother from death.

    This story touched me when it was preached on TV recently, I wept on my bed. Before now, I had thought that, we needn’t remind God of the things he already knows since he is the omnipresent. We often see inscriptions on vehicles like “God Knows”. However, from this teaching, I have now come to understand that, sometimes, we need to remind God of our faithfulness (If any) to him; afterall he asks us to remind him, he knows of all our needs, yet we pray and table them before him.

    God is simply awesome!!!

    Oh bless the Lord God of miracles. I am blessed in my spirit from just reading these words. Thank God for this inspiration. I feel bless because i have a friend who has cancer and seem next to death and everyone gets busy praying for God to heal her and lengthen her days. However, as i rise from my rest this morning Friday, October 26, the lord laid these words on my heart to send her a text message about king Hezekiah of which i obeyed and did and her reply was that she felt highly blessed and inspired. Now to have come online and seeing these words later in the day makes me realize that it was God’s will to have sent her such inspirational story.

    God is truly amazing!!!
